In a significant reworking, the project retains the original Victorian school building, re-establishing a garden curtilage as a way of connecting church, school and hall. The new architecture provides discrete infants and primary areas, and a new school entry or ‘welcome’, with a positive street presence. Pedagogy is the driver, providing distinctive spaces to support contemporary learning, both indoors and out.
