Newmarket Green

The Newmarket Green site, located in Randwick, is historically significant having been previously owned for 150 years by the Inglis family. The project sits within the broader masterplan, by Bates Smart, which integrates future higher density residential development, streets and parkland, simultaneously protecting a number of heritage structures.

The project comprises a 4-storey apartment building, containing 16 apartments, and 4 terrace houses. Every dwelling has been designed to optimise solar access with generous northern facing balconies and living areas. There is a strong sense of homecoming with residents welcomed through 2 generous light filled lobby spaces, which further establish a strong relationship with the street and southern gardens. The buildings play an important role in mediating between the future high density and retained low scale.
